Children and Young People

On a Sunday there are a range of groups for children and young people to attend during the 10 a.m. service. Also there are toy bags available at the back of the church and a book corner always open if your children want to help themselves.

The Crèche is open from 10 a.m. and you can take babies and toddlers upstairs at anytime during the service. Children should be collected in time to receive a blessing.

Splash is for pre school age children, where they have fun enjoying loads of activities, stories, games and crafts.

During term time the following groups meet:

High Fives

Is for primary school children and again they enjoy a range of activities following the theme of the service. These children are taken to join in part of the Eucharist.

Cloud 9

Is for older primary school children who return to the service for the Eucharist. They meet on a weekly basis and follow the theme of the service through drama, art and other creative activities.

Heaven 11

Is for young people at secondary school up to year 11. These young people meet fortnightly and discuss current issues relating them to spiritual believes as well service themes. They return to the service during then Peace.

On the 1st Sunday of the month and other festivals there is a family Eucharist when children stay with their families. Services relate to the activities and themes followed by Kids AM, which is held monthly on the day before (Saturday). This group is for primary school children and is very popular with children in the village. The children experience and take part in music from around the world, learn new games, make crafts, cook and perform drama pieces. They enjoy working as a team and eating together at lunchtime to talk over the events of the morning.

Every Wednesday between 10.30 a.m. and 12 noon Coffee Pots and Tiny Tots is held in the church. Babies, children and adults are welcome to come along to this informal morning where adults can chat over a cup of coffee and children can enjoy stories, toys, activities and a cup of squash.

Once a year a holiday club for primary school children is held, normally during a half term holiday. These and other events are advertised around the village and at Hadlow School.
