On a Sunday there is a range of groups for children and young people to attend during the 10 am service. Also there are toy bags available at the back of the church and a book corner is always open if your children want to help themselves.
The Crèche is open from 10 am when required and you can take babies and toddlers upstairs during the service. Please speak to the churchwardens if you would like to use the Crèche . Children should be collected in time to receive a blessing.
During term time the following groups meet:
We welcome children up to the age of seven years for a session of stories, crafts and activities linked to the theme of the main service. Children are encouraged to join their parents for a blessing at the altar towards the end of the Eucharist.
This group offers children from seven years a variety of activities, games and stories focusing on the Bible based theme of the main service. They join the rest of the congregation for communion at the altar.
Young people at secondary school up to year 11 meet on the first and fourth Sunday each month to discuss current issues relating to them, their spiritual beliefs, bible study as well as service themes. They return to the service during the Peace.
Usually (but not always) on the 3rd Sunday of the month at 5.30pm. A service devised by young people for everyone. Activities from 5.30pm, refreshments at 6.15pm, worship from 6.30pm. All welcome to come for the worship – whatever your age.
We offer preparation for first communion when children and their parents feel it is the appropriate time. This will normally take place annually and the Vicar will announce when the next round of preparations classes is to take place.
Coffee Pots and Tiny Tots
Every Wednesday, between 10.30 am and 12 noon, CP&TT is held in the church. Babies, children and adults are welcome to come along to this informal morning where adults can chat over a cup of coffee and children can enjoy stories, toys, activities and a cup of squash.
Who Let the Dads Out?
Usually on the 2nd Saturday of the month at 10am. For dads with their under 6 year olds – hot drinks and a bacon roll for dads and lots of toys, craft and fun for the kids. Details of the date of the next WLTDO? can be found in the monthly Hadlow Newsletter.
We endeavour to hold a holiday club for primary school children each year during one of the half term holidays. These and other events are advertised around the village and at Hadlow School.
Children are invited to join our choir – please see the choir section to find out more about what is involved.
